Awesome website! I grew
up in Milltown and was a member of the Jr. Firemen's Marching Band
in 1971-73. My Father, Frank, was a member of the Rescue Squad. We
moved to Southern California in 1974. We always talk about the good
times we had during Memorial Day and the 4th of July when we would
see the Fire Department and Rescue Squad marching down Main Street.
It makes me feel good how the traditions and have carried over from
generation to generation. Well Done!

How much fun to find this site and
spend a few hours back in my hometown. Although I never served
in the FD, I grew up with the Visokays and the Congers and the
Carassos. So many other names and faces I remember; Shanabrook,
Steeber, & Guise. Cripes, weren't we playing Pop Warner
together just a few years ago? Greetings to all from
Waterville, ME.
I'll hoist a pint
in your names.

moving to Fl, I am sorry to hear Chief Ed Harto
had past, he was a good man have lots of good memories of him. I
will go to this site quite often to find out what's going on around
the Engine Co. & Hose Co. Well keep up the good work.

the tours I took of the fire dept. Especially Officer Ken. He's the

As a former Milltown Fireman I just had a chance to see your website
..... It was great. I just finished viewing the memorial dedication
of deceased fireman and aux. members. I was so surprised to see so
many people I grew up with that have passed. I've been living in
Largo, Florida since 1973. I have many great memories of being a
volunteer fireman and the great men that I worked along with from
1962 through 1973. Just a "brag note" I have a son Scott who is now
a fire/paramedic here in Palm Harbor, Florida and has been so for
the last 10 years. He says that his desire to become a fireman
started because of my serving as a volunteer fireman was his
inspiration ....... I'm so so proud. Thanks to the Milltown Fire
Dept.
